Prelaunch information. Just Macros is currently in testing. Public support and privacy contact details will be added before the app launches. Invited testers can use their existing testing contact.

Who we are

Just Macros is provided by Slate River Holdings LLC under the Small Vendor Studios name. This policy explains how the Android app and its website handle information.

Your tracking records

The app stores your profile names, nutrition goals, foods, recipes, saved meals, diary entries and history, weight measurements, notes, and app preferences in private storage on your Android device. You do not need to create a Just Macros online account.

Core tracking works offline. We do not operate an automatic cloud sync service for your diary. The app does not deliberately include your food records, weight records, goals, or Assistant text in its advertising or purchase requests.

Google ads and consent

The free Google Play edition displays banner ads provided by Google AdMob. Google’s advertising software can collect and share device and app identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP address and approximate location inferred from it, app and ad interactions, and diagnostic information. Google uses this information for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. Processing depends on your choices, settings, and applicable requirements.

Where applicable, the app presents Google’s consent messages. You can reopen Ad privacy choices from the ad-free purchase section in Settings when Google’s consent system makes that option available. Android also provides advertising-ID controls.

An ad-free purchase removes the app’s banners. It does not stop every Google service used by the app. See Google’s privacy policy and Google’s advertising SDK data disclosure.

Purchases and downloads

Google Play handles checkout, payment processing, and order records. Just Macros receives purchase information needed to verify and restore ad-free access and keeps a signed purchase receipt locally. We do not receive your full payment-card details through the app.

Optional AI model downloads are delivered through Google Play and require an internet connection. Installed model processing runs on the device. Downloads and purchases are also subject to Google’s policies.

Camera, scanning, and voice

Camera access supports nutrition-label capture and device-pairing QR codes. Label and barcode recognition use on-device Google ML Kit processing. The app uses private temporary storage for captured label images and cleans up temporary or stale images through its capture workflow.

ML Kit can still send device and app information, installation identifiers, and performance or usage metrics to Google. On-device image processing does not mean the SDK sends no information. See ML Kit’s data disclosure.

Microphone access is used for optional on-device speech recognition when supported by your phone. Speech output selects voices that do not require a network connection. You can decline or revoke camera and microphone permissions in Android settings; the related optional features will then be unavailable.

Backups and household sharing

Backups and household exchanges happen when you choose to create, save, import, or share a file. These files can contain your profile, food, diary, and weight information. They are not encrypted. Store and share them carefully.

If you choose a cloud drive, messaging app, email app, or another destination through Android’s file picker or share menu, that provider handles the file under its own policies. People you share with may retain their own copies.

Retention and deletion

Your local records remain on your device until you remove them or clear the app’s storage. Some delete and archive actions preserve earlier revisions or history inside the local database. Removing a visible diary entry or archiving a food is not the same as erasing all local history.

To remove the app’s private local records, clear Just Macros storage in Android settings or uninstall the app. Save a backup first if you want to keep your records. Files you exported or shared are separate and must be deleted from their destinations; you may also need to ask recipients to delete their copies.

Google retains its own advertising, purchase, and service records under its policies. Removing the app does not delete a Google Play order.
